Glitz and Glamour

We are half way through this months IndigoBlu blog challenge. Have you got your entry in yet? If not let me share my take on the Glitz and Glamour theme.

Slightly naughtily I've used the new Limor Webber designed stamp, Lotus Blossom, which won't be released in the UK until the end of February 2015 (unless you are attending an IndigoBlu Demo that is and then you will have the opportunity to get your hands on them early eeek!) I've also used an abundance of  Winter Dawn Mega Flake and highlighted the whole card with Peppermint Tea English Cottage Artists Acrylic Paint. Simple, yet stunning!

And in case you haven't spotted my new header photo......it's a close up of this stamp. I just love it!!

Happy New Year 2015......just a tad delayed ooops!

So where did 2014 disappear to? Answers on the back of a post card please..........

I've not set myself any New Year Resolutions, as I have to admit to being a bit useless and breaking them within a couple of days, so I just have a list of plans for the year ahead and one of them is to blog more often.

So today I thought I would share a couple of sneaky peaks with you. Indigo Blu are releasing some new stamps very very soon by designer Limor Webber and I've been lucky enough to have a play with them before they are released at CHA.

And as an extra special treat, here's a second

Sorry this isn't a wonderful photo, but what do you think?

Demo Time Again - 20th September 2014

If you like the style of my cards why don't you join me and the lovely ladies at Craftique for a wonderful day of IndigoBlu inspiration. I will be demonstrating the gorgeous new Christmas stamp range, the metallic paints (which are to die for.....esp Cinderella), the opulence of Mega Flakes, as well as stamping on tissue techniques. So much to fit in between 10am and 4pm.

This is the start of my stamping on tissue mannequin, using one of the the Christmas Dinkie stamps in a way that can be displayed all year. I've a few ideas to add to her on Saturday......watch this space.

I also thought I would share these two cards with you, using exactly the same stamps (Connors Crown Jewels) to create two very different finished cards.

I will have lots of samples to share with you and lots of techniques to inspire. I hope you are able to pop along and say hello. I would love to meet you all.

See you Saturday Xxx

PS - there might be cakes....

Sewing mends the soul.......

I wasn't quite sure what to put together in a tag............ sew this is my second tag of the day (how bad are the puns?!)

I definitely need to improve my photography skills!! (and my jokes)

Tag You're It Challenge

Thank you for stopping by, It's lovely to see you all.

So what have I been up to since my last blog......well I've completed my first demo on behalf of IndigoBlu and I thoroughly enjoyed the day being back in front of fellow crafters. I hope everyone who attended also enjoyed themselves and went home with plenty of hints and tips, I know I did!

I've also been making a few things which I will be sharing with you over the next couple of days. The first is a tag which I'm entering into Polkadoodles Challenge - Tag You're It.

I hope you like it. I've used the Nottingham Lace stamp set by IndigoBlu, as well as a few goodies from my ribbon stash.

Some of you who kindly followed me in the past might like to know that I've changed the login name from alisonscurrah.blogspot.co.uk to craftygirlfriday.blogspot.co.uk so if you would like to keep following me you might have to like me all over again - many apologises Xxx
