I've been away too long!

So what have a been doing over the last week or so since I last blogged? Well the normal mundane things, going to work, a few chores here and there, you know how it is. But I've also been doing some more exciting things as well. Making samples for a couple of demos I have coming up (see a few teasers below).

Yesterday I went to the IndigoBlu Open Day at HQ in Retford   http://www.indigoblu.com/ I would highly recommend you go to the next one. I came away with so much inspiration and I hope to be putting it to good use in the very near future.

I've also been a tad naughty and cast on another knitting project! (I might share it with you when the pattern starts to show up) You see I don't just make cards I sew and knit and repair antique jewellery and......and.....and......anything that takes my fancy.

I hope you've been having a wonderfully crafty time to. Thanks for stopping by. Xxx

Christmas in July (2nd entry.....how rash!)

I got a little parcel in the post from Indigo Blu earlier in the week......... so I thought I would sneak in a second entry to the Christmas in July Challenge. (I don't know if it's allowed!)

And whilst I was sat on the living room floor, trying to be creative, I kept getting a little help (Not!)

The sun is shining here, have a great day wherever you are and whatever you are doing. I'm going to have a go at making a cube for the Hip to be Square challenge at Frilly and Funkie (watch this space)

The wonders of my day job

Yesterday at work a little girl came in with her parents, she was a real chatterbox and was so excited about her visit as she knew where the Fairies lived and if you caught one and then let it go it would make your wish come true. I asked her to make a wish for me if she found the fairies. I thought nothing more about this until at the end of the day this little girl came looking for me and in her hand was a dandelion clock.

She had brought me a fairy so I could make my own wish! How lovely was that? We both went outside and let the fairy go and I got to make my wish.

It's the little things that make this world special and make up for all the bad days. I hope this little girls grows up to be a truly wonderful human being......she is certainly well on her way xx

Coffee and Cream

Good evening one and all. I hope you are keeping well?

I've not had a chance to do any crafting over the last couple of days so I thought I would share a birthday card I made for a special friend. As you will see coffee and cream purely refers to the colours used and for those of you who are interested the flowers come ready made and have been taken from a length a ribbon (yes ribbon!) which I fell in love with at my local soft furnishings store.

Christmas in July

This is my entry for the Indigo Blu Christmas in July Challenge. A card and gift all in one!

The angel in the middle is a wooden blank I found and thought it would look lovely decorated in Mega Flake.

I hope you all like it. xx

Himalayan Poppies

Today has seen me back at work (don't you find working for a living a draw back to crafting!). So here is a card I finished a couple of days ago. This was inspired by a lovely lady at a Indigo Blu day I recently attended, as like most people I would have painted my poppies red.

Instead of making cards this evening I have been restringing and knotting a beautiful antique amber necklace for a lady. Just a little sideline I have with my friendly antique shop! Reasonable prices charged if anyone needs anything doing.....ha ha!

I hope you enjoy this offering.
